Worship means total commitment

Written By Eddie Duke

Romans 12:1-2 reads

“Therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, I urge you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God; this is your spiritual worship.  Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.”

The next step in a better path for 2021 is to WORSHIP.

Worship is giving all that I am to all that God is.  The word ‘present’ is a word that means to offer as a total commitment.  It makes sense.  No sacrifice in the Old Testament was ever a small part – it was always the entire animal.  Sacrifice implies completely.  Worship was never intended to be partial involvement.   We can come to church in person or online, we can take notes, but we have not worshiped until we have given all that we are to all that God is.  Can I say this morning that I worship God?

I prayed for you today.  Remember what our goal is for a better path this week – Total Commitment…Transformation Over Conformation…Knowing What God Wants Us to Do
