What is a Christian?

Written By Eddie Duke

Deuteronomy 6:5 reads

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.”

Sunday, I mentioned that living a thankful life requires a radical commitment to God. A radical commitment is one in which we simply love God with all our heart, soul, and strength.

You ask someone today who is not a Christian what they believe a Christian is and you may get a myriad of answers. Many of these answers fall way short of what it really means to be a Christian.

Being a Christian is not about being against issues, people, or groups. Being a Christian is not about advancing social policies or political agendas.

Being a Christian is loving Jesus Christ first and most.

When we live thankful, we portray a love for Jesus. I am praying for a thankful life today.
