Nehemiah 4:14 reads
“After I made an inspection, I stood up and said to the nobles, the officials, and the rest of the people, ‘Don’t be afraid of them. Remember the great and awe-inspiring LORD, and fight for your countrymen, your sons and daughters, your wives.’”
All of our Bible reading today seems to have to do with fear. I think there is a reason for that.
There seems to be a lot of fear and anxiety in the air right now. I have received multiple videos, texts, and phone calls relating to martial law and what could be facing our country in the week ahead. A lot of what I am receiving is a lot of rhetoric. I don’t believe there is going to be martial law.
Granted, I could be wrong, but that doesn’t change the truth of Jesus and who He is. Regardless of what happens tomorrow or next week, next month, or next year, we need to remember the hope we have in Jesus Christ. More than ever, we need to be proclaiming the certainty of that hope to a world filled with uncertainty right now.
I prayed for you today. Remember what our goal is for a better path this week — Forget…Don’t worry…Reach for Jesus
