Righteousness Exalts a Nation

Written By Eddie Duke

Proverbs 14:34 reads:

“Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people.”

I don’t know about you, but I take that verse personally.  It feels like a weight to me.  It feels like I need to take responsibility for my righteousness because there is something going on much bigger than myself.  Is it just me or does all of a sudden, this year’s election feel more personal?   It almost feels as if we are gearing up for something much bigger than ourselves.  Here in Kentucky we have been voting for weeks now and there has been a record return of mail-in and absentee ballots.  This year’s election seems to have sparked a sense of urgency and you can feel the weight of the importance of this election.

I am going to continue the updates through the weekend, but today, please pray for the following:

·         Pray that God will give us Godly leaders of integrity who will govern with wisdom, love and righteousness.

·         Pray for God’s lovingkindness and mercy upon our country.

·     In accordance with our INTERCESSORY prayer, pray that this election will bring spiritual awakening and revival within our church, Owensboro, Kentucky, America, and the world.

Today, pray for these three things during your time of prayer and throughout the day.  Thank you for your faithfulness.
