Jesus Said, “Remain in me.”

Written By Eddie Duke

John 15:4 reads:  “Remain in Me, and I in you. Just as a branch is unable to produce fruit by itself unless it remains on the vine, neither can you unless you remain in Me.”

Remain in me.

These are the last words that really define the Christian life.  Our relationship with Jesus is characterized by our dependence.  Branches do not produce good fruit on their own.  They are only successful through their connection to the vine.  The success of our walk with Christ is dependent on our connection to Him.

J. Hudson Taylor once said, “The branch of the vine does not worry, and toil, and rush here to seek for sunshine, and there to find rain. No; it rests in union and communion with the vine; and at the right time, and in the right way, is the right fruit found on it. Let us so abide in the Lord Jesus.”

Come to me.  Follow me.  Remain in me.  I am praying that our feet will be set on this path for 2021.
